Julep February Box

The winter is seriously taking its toll on my nails, and I've gotten used to the short length, but yesterday my one nail broke the shortest my nail have been since I quit biting them (run on sentence?) I honestly don't think anyone wants to see my short pointer fingernail so unfortunately I won't be posting any nail art any time soon.

So onto the point of this post! I recently received my Julep box for February, and while I won't be posting any swatches, I figured I could show you what's in my box!

I'm an It Girl and this month I decided to stick with it, so glad I did!

In this month's It Girl box, I received three polishes, a polymer topcoat, an eyelash curler, and heart chocolates for Valentine's Day. The polishes are Joan, Marion, and Rebel. Joan is a raspberry base with gold flakies. I think this is absolutely gorgeous and very unique to my collection. Marion is a shimmery teal, which I also love. My room is painted teal, so obviously anything that color is a win. Rebel is a silver holographic polish. I am very interested to see how that looks on the nail, because I love anything holo. I even own a purple holographic purse, and bought a few holo shoes from Forever21.

I'm curious about both the topcoat and eyelash curler, I guess I will have to wait and see how they work!

I also received add-ons this month. I caved and finally got the Hand and Cuticle Stick, which I wanted last month but didn't add it in enough time. I also added three sheets of the 'Swatch Me!' stickers to put swatches on top of the bottles. Lastly, I added Sally which was part of the American Beauty Box. Sally is a light nudey/yellow shade that kind of reminds me of Zoya Jacqueline.

And here are the 'Swatch Me!' stickers in action!

Julep is a monthly subscription for $19.99 a month. If you are interested in joining, click here to take your style quiz and use the code FREEBOX to get your first box for free.

Rainbow Honey Sweet Talk Collection

A week ago I purchased my first Rainbow Honey polishes on fab.com. Fab sells design products, and often has sales and I don't really know how to explain it. Honestly, most of the time I just look at all the cool stuff, but there was a sale on the polish and I was given a $10 gift card so I figured why not. Anyway, when I received my package yesterday, I decided to go on the Rainbow Honey website to see how much they are normally, and I noticed that these particular polishes weren't being released until today! So here are some swatches.

Be Mine is described as "a lovely kiss of pink on your nails with a dusting of microshimmer and gold flecks." This polish is gorgeous, and I'm not really big on pink. This polish may be my favorite out of the three, I'm just really in love with the gold flecks. The formula was really nice, I used three coats for the photos, but you could probably get away with two.

Sweet Talk is described as "a decadently sweet collection of pastel glitters in a white jelly with hidden shimmer." This polish reminds me of Funfetti icing, which is a very very good thing. The formula was good for this as well and so was the glitter pay off. I used three coats in the photos above.

XOXO is described as "a ravishing blend of glitters and flakes in a clear base for easy use over any manicure." This one just screams Valentine's Day to me. This one also has a great formula, I used one coat over a purple creme polish from Charlotte Russe.

Overall, I really love these polishes, but I haven't even mentioned the packaging. I think I'll let the pictures do the talking.

Seriously so gorgeous.

As I said, these polishes are available as of today, so get them before they sell out! They can be purchased at rainbowhoney.com for $10 each or $30 for the set.

Team of Destiny

I'm not sure how many of you are football fans, but last night was the AFC Championship game and the Ravens beat the Patriots. Which was a pretty big deal, considering the Ravens played the Patriots in last years AFC Championship and lost. Now WE'RE GOING TO THE SUPER BOWL! (I'm really excited incase you couldn't tell) Last night, before the game, I painted my nails Ravens style.

I used these images for the pointer and middle finger:

And I did sort of a glitter gradient for the rest of my nails using Julep Oscar and Cover Band Sticks 'N Stones.

Overall, I'm really happy with how they turned out and even more excited that it's gonna be a Harbowl!

Will you be watching the Super Bowl in two weeks?

Geometric lines

Hi everyone! I did some line nail art using Zoya Neely from the Lovely Collection and China Glaze Black Leather.

It's times like this that I wish I had striping tape!! But overall I am happy with the result.

I'm still wishing my nails would grow some, but the winter seems to making that impossible.

I just bought some oil that's supposed to help with nail growth/healthy cuticles/everything and when I receive it, I plan on doing a full review on it. Hopefully that is something everyone will be interested in :)
