Moon Sugar Nail Decals

Happy Super Bowl Sunday all!

Instead of doing a Super Bowl related mani, I have some valetines-y nail art today. I've used my good friend Lisa's nails in this post as I wanted practice on painting other people's nails, which is harder than I thought it was going to be.

Moon Sugar contacted me about reviewing some of their nail decals and of course I immediately fell in love with the sugar skull nail decals.

These decals work just like any other. Cut around the decal, place it into warm water until the paper curls and flattens back down. Then the decal can be separated from the paper and placed onto the nail and sealed with top coat.

I find that these decals are good quality but some of the skulls have so much detail in a small space, it is hard to actually see what is going on, specifically with the skull with the mustache. They also are quite large, so if you have smaller nails, they might be too large and you definitely need to make sure you cut them down to fit your nails before you put them in water. One thing I wish was different was that there aren't any doubles of the skulls on a sheet, so in order to have the same manicure on both hands, you would need to purchase two sheets. That is not true with all of their decal sheets, but it is with this particular one.

Since I received a sample for review, I was not given all the decals that actually come with the sugar skull nail decals. There are 32 decals on the sheet and it can be purchased on Moon Sugar for $3.99 a sheet.

*The products in this post were sent to me for review. All of the opinions expressed are my own
