Happy Saturday all! Today I have a design I've done once before, but with the weather being so nice it was calling my name to do it again! Pineapple Print!
I really love all thing pineapple print. One day I will own a dress or something, but for now, I will have to settle for painting it on my nails.
This time I used a pink background instead of a nude color, and I have to say, the pink really adds to the tropical vibe.
For these nails I used China Glaze Spring In My Step as the background and painted oval shapes using Zoya Darcy. I then outline the ovals and added a criss-cross pattern over them with a mixture of Color Club Fondue For Two and Color Club Macaroon Swoon. I added dots with Macaroon Swoon to act as the pointy parts of the pineapple and used Zoya Josie mixed with some Darcy for the leaves.
For this nail art I used metallic studs from the Born Pretty Store on my pointer and ring fingers. They label these studs as metallic but I'm not sure if that's the term I'd used to describe them. They shift colors from pink to green depending on how the light hits them. I am using the 2mm size in the photos above. They come 10 in a pack for $2.63. I really like this studs and I love how the color shift matches the colors I used in the nail art. Remember to use the code NHL91 for 10% off any of your purchases from the Born Pretty Store.
Hope everyone enjoys the remainder of their weekend, I know I will!
We LOVE these! We are obsessed with pineapple prints too. The colours you have used are perfect. Might have to try these ourselves - will credit and link to you if we do. Emma & Jo.xx
