Tardis Cake (NPR)

Some of you might be wondering where I was this past week.

I was really hoping I'd get an opportunity to post, and take part in The Lacquer Legion, but I just didn't have time to and here's why!

Matte/Gloss Wood Grain

As I sit and wait for MONUMENTOUR tickets to go on sale, I figure I might as well go ahead and write a blog post.

One of my favorite combinations is black on black glossy and matte. I don't know why exactly, but I will probably never get tired of it. This combination is specifically inspired by the CD artwork for Pierce the Veil's Selfish Machines. The cover has a photo of a young boy and girl but over top of them is this glossy wood grain pattern which I thought would look awesome on the nails.

I am 100% in love. I was a little worried I wouldn't be able to pull it off, but I think I did a pretty awesome job if I do say so myself!

What's my age again?

Happy Saturday! Today's post is a slight fail, but I decided to go ahead in post it anyway.

Last week I turned 23 and of course throughout the day I found myself singing a certain song by Blink 182. I began thinking about how censored/pixelated nails would be an appropriate way to interpret the music video.

New year, new look, new page!

I'm hoping someone realizes that the title is a quote. Here's a hint as to where it's from.

Some of you are probably like "Who the $%*! is Warpedrationails and why am I suddenly following them?!" Paper Thin Nails is now Warpedrationails. There are many reasons for this change, one major one being my username for everything is "warpedrationale" and I feel like people may not realize that I am also a nail blogger. Another reason being I haven't liked the name "paper thin nails" for probably about a year now and I thought, with the new year starting, this is the best opportunity to change it. That being said, I'm also striving to post a least once a week as a new years resolution.

Alright, enough chit-chat. Let's get to the nails!

2013 Favorites

Hello everyone, hope you had a great holiday!

I know I've been a terrible blogger as of late, but hopefully in 2014 I will be more successful as I am now a college graduate, wahoo! No homework = more blogging.

Seeing as I have no plans to post anything new in 2013, I thought it was time to do my favorites for this past year. I've narrowed it down to twelve designs, which you can click and it will bring you to the post for that particular design.

Let's get to it!

Although I didn't post much this year, I am pretty proud of everything I posted, especially during the latter part of the year. You can really seen how much I've grown.

Here's to 2014 and the nail art that will come with it!

Are you doing anything exciting for new years? I'm either going to play video games or sleep :P

Movember Nails!

Hey everyone! Long time no posting, sorry about that! Hopefully once I graduate I'll be able to post more regularly.

For today's nail art, I have a review of mustache charms from the Born Pretty Store! I've had these for a pretty long time, but was waiting to use them specifically for Movember. If you don't know what  Movember is, feel free to click this link and read about it :) Essentially men grow mustaches to raise awareness for mens health.

For this manicure, I knew I wanted to do some sort of fall plaid and place a mustache on top. It wasn't until I saw Wondrously Polished's plaid nails posted on her Instagram today that I knew what color combination I wanted to use.

Swatchtober - Different Dimensions Silenced The Lambs Collection

Happy Wednesday all! I have some Halloween swatches for today :)

Before we get to the swatches, let me just mention that I'm currently working on a new halloween tutorial but have not had time to film since I've been completely swamped with work/school work.

The Silences The Lambs collection is based off on one of my favorite horror films – Silence of the Lambs.

Now onto the swatches!
